Appa Rao.”Pratyusha”which means the first
rays of the sun, symbolizes hope, new beginnings
and a bright future for our children.

The journey of Pratyusha began in 1991, under the nurturing care of our founder Ms. Deepika Appa Rao.”Pratyusha” which means the first rays of the sun, symbolizes hope, new beginnings and a bright future for our children.
Twenty eight years on, Pratyusha is one of the better known preschools in Secunderabad and being ably managed by its Director Mrs. Prashanthi Yachendra and her well trained team of teachers.
This Home Away From Home is a place where the teachers LOVE their jobs, children feel HAPPY to come to school and parents feel SECURE to leave their children in our CARE.

Our ultimate goal is to prepare children not just for school but for life, fostering a love for learning and an appreciation for diversity, creativity, and the world around them.
Our Curriculum
Values are in every part of the pre- school’s curriculum. That being said, if you look at the pre-school
syllabus you will not be able to spot any of the value examples mentioned inthem. Experience a day in
Pratyusha. With every activity that takes place you will find that many important attributes are practiced
and inculcated for the overall development of the child.
- In prayer the child realizes peace and harmony.
- In play he learns the importance of caring, sharing and patience.
- With studies come the lessons of truth, open-mindedness and politeness.
- Exercise brings discipline, self-worth and control.
- In art and music the attributes of creativity, self-expression and humility are gained.

Our goal is to achieve a holistic development in each and every child which includes language skills (comprehend and communicate), physical as well as social and emotional development. We have a lot of people putting in a lot of effort to make our endeavour meaningful. We have a great set of teachers and resource persons committed to make each day different and enriching for the child. We have specialized teachers for art, music and dance.

The greatest gift you can give a child in life is education. We believe what really enriches a child and brings forth a well rounded individual are the values he imbibes during his perusal of knowledge. In this we are inspired by Swami Sathya Sai Baba’s maxims: ” End of educations is Character ” and “Education is for Life not for a living.”
The world has made much progress but the things often lost to our little ones are traditions and values. At Pratyusha we are conscientious about the responsibility of imparting value-based education. The role of our pre-school is to inculcate these values in young minds.
We have been working earnestly in first practising and then imparting values such as lovingness, honesty, integrity, truthfulness, kindness etc. We see the mirror everyday to see what’s lacking in us.
At Pratyusha, we believe as much in the particular as in the general. We want the kids to have cultural moorings and respect their own civilisation as much as they’d like to be global and belong to the world. We believe in cherishing patriotic and subcultural values, those which are the terra firma for children to grow in. Every festival is celebrated here. We believe in imparting culture through routines and rhythms. What better place to look for this than the time tested ancient tradition and culture? The child feels very comfortable when the same are followed at home and school. Prayers are an integral part of our day. We are a secular, non-sectarian and universal in our approach.
Our school building is designed specifically to provide optimum comfort to our students. Each classroom is centrally air-conditioned with soundproof doors/windows and has an acoustic false ceiling as well as LED lights to deliver a good learning experience. Also, the lessons are made fun and enriching with smartboard technology.
The building has an elevator and broad staircases on two sides that helps evacuate the building quickly and aid the easy movement of our tiny tots. The flooring at the premises has features of reduction of noise and anti-microbial properties. We have an indoor playing area on each floor which is the wide corridor, and it helps children have ample playing space just outside their classroom. The child-friendly anti-slippery carpeting in the school building further ensures that our students don’t get hurt while playing or running.
We have a dedicated team that meticulously plans nutritious meals for our students. RO drinking water facility is housed on the floors at the preschool.
The premises of Satellite School for Children is clean, hygienic with waterless urinals and has fire safety equipment well installed and is flame resistant. Salient features of our school building:
