If there is anything that we wish to change in the child, we should first examine it and see whether it is not something that could better be changed in ourselves.” – Carl Jung

Curriculum: Theme Based (Play-way Method)

At Pratyusha, we go by the play way method of teaching. The curriculum is framed keeping in mind the all-round development of the child in a warm, friendly and safe environment.

Our curriculum is theme based. Every month, we have our activities as art and craft, stories, rhymes, play, learning etc around the theme. Our activities are age appropriate and we make it fun and interesting. We encourage our children to take part in all activities, to speak up, to tell stories and enact short plays.

At Pratyusha, we give more importance to participation than create a feeling of competition and every child is appreciated for his efforts. Assessments in the PP1 & PP2 are graded. The children are assessed qualitatively where the child’s strengths and areas where improvement is needed are discussed individually.

The early years are foundational years as during this time child is rapidly growing, both physically and mentally. The child is constantly assimilating new experiences and is using them, to form the person he or she will become in future years. Here skills are taught for life. We aim to provide a foundation for the development of skills, knowledge and understanding required for successful participation in future school life. Pratyusha is the bridge between home and school.

Only when the child has begun to feel at home in the pre-school, has formed bonds with teachers, developed self-confidence and independence is he ready to begin learning. At Pratyusha we offer the care which fosters learning.
